CanSat | 2026 National Finals
The national final of the European Cansat High School 2026 project was held on April 3 and 4 at the Coulommiers-Voisins airfield. Organized by CNES and Planète Sciences, the event gave the 20 teams participating in the project the opportunity to present their work and launch their CanSats via rocket.

Webconference: ‘AI serving astronauts’
As in many fields, artificial intelligence will play a major role in space exploration. In this context, on Thursday 5 February 2026, CNES organised an online conference as part of the Moon Camp and Mission X projects. Presented by CNES engineer Denis Baron, it was an opportunity for more than 1,000 students to learn how artificial intelligence could help astronauts on future manned missions.

Webconference: “Light pollution as seen by satellites”
On Thursday, December 11, 2025, CNES organized an online conference as part of the Climate Detectives project. Presented by CNES engineer Marie-Odile Marché, it was an opportunity for more than 750 students to learn how satellites can be used to study light pollution.

Climate Detectives | French apprentice scientists at the Climate Detectives Summit
The Climate Detectives Challenge aims to introduce students to the scientific method by conducting a research project related to climate or biodiversity. This year, 374 students took part in the project, and one of the French teams was also able to travel to ESA's ESRIN center in Italy to present their work at the 2025 Climate Detectives Summit!

For its first edition, the ESERO France team participated in the Festival Education Jeunesse organized by CNES during the Toulouse Space Festival.
