The international “Moon Camp” challenge allows students from kindergarten to high school to imagine and design their own space base that could be installed on the celestial body of their choice (the Moon, Mars, Titan, etc.). Students who participated in the closing event on May 28, 2024, even had the opportunity to present their creations to space exploration experts at CNES!
The national final of the CanSat High School competition took place on April 5 and 6, 2024, at the Safran Museum in Réau. The “SolarCanWin'd” team from Lycée Léonard de Vinci (44) won a ticket to the European event “Space Engineer for a Day” organized by ESA at its ESTEC site in the Netherlands.
Nearly 800 primary school students took on the challenges of astronaut training. Everyone performed well, but as it was a competition, the jury did have to make some tough choices in selecting the winning teams.
With the theme of the Fête de la science 2023 being “Sport and Science,” what could be better than offering kids the chance to train like astronauts to take part in this major event!
Coordinated in France by CNES in collaboration with ESA, “Space Adventure” is offering for the first time a weekend of unprecedented immersion under the stars for teenagers and their parents from priority neighbourhoods.
The final meeting of the Mission X educational project to raise awareness of sport and health, coordinated in France by CNES via the ESERO France program, was held on June 6, 2023 at the Cité de l'espace in Toulouse.
