When the Python hunts the turtle

Date Du au

Duration 6h

Place Orléans

Description

Argonimaux is a project proposed by CNES to study marine biodiversity by tracking the movements of animals equipped with Argos tags and highlighting the impact of environmental and climatic variations on their journeys using satellite data. Since this project involves a large amount of data, the use of Python scripts seems to be a suitable tool for tracking these movements.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Discover the actions and projects proposed by CNES
  • Become familiar with classic Python scripts for data retrieval and processing
  • Carry out experimental procedures appropriate for Cycle 4 (speed measurement, interpretation, and critique of results)
  • Discuss and debate with researchers
