Description

The program for this training course (french) focuses on exploring the Earth and the sky, both past and present. After discovering the coastline and its erosion, participants will visit Abbadia Castle and learn about the life of Antoine d'Abbadie. Following in his footsteps, they will explore the sky. The second day will be dedicated to studying the phases of the Moon and searching for traces of fossilized life on Earth and Mars.

Explorer, geographer, astronomer, and linguist, Antoine d’Abbadie was a man of many talents, driven in his endeavors by a desire for rigor and precision. Following in his footsteps, guided by scientists, participants will learn how he mapped the sky. They will also learn about the great scientific voyages of exploration and the methods used to map the earth before the advent of space probes.
