The European Moon Camp challenge
The Moon Camp challenge is an educational project proposed at the European level by the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Airbus Foundation and coordinated in France by the CNES, which invites students to become explorers of the solar system. To do this, each team has the opportunity to create its own space base using the tools of its choice: models, 3D designs, drawings, etc. The aim is to find solutions to the difficulties that astronauts might encounter during future manned missions.

Webinar “From Simulation to Settlement: Training Humanity for Life Beyond Earth”
To complement your Moon Camp project, the European Space Agency (ESA) is offering a live webinar on YouTube on February 12, 2026, from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. This presentation will be given by Romain Charles, an ESA flight engineer and crew member of the Mars500 mission. This mission is a study simulating a Mars mission and investigating the psychological effects of confinement during long-duration space exploration.

This webinar will focus on learning more about mission simulations, human-robot cooperation, and the challenges of future space colonies, including the psychological impact of confinement. The session will also include answers to questions from the Moon Camp teams and a presentation of some of their inspiring projects. To participate, register by clicking on the button below.
We look forward to seeing you on one of our projects! You can find out about all ESERO projects here.
