Congratulations to the hundred of parastronauts who rose to the “Train like a parastronaut” challenge launched in September by the ESERO France team to mark the selection of the first ESA parastronaut and the closing of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
Parastronauts training!
This challenge, organized as part of the Mission X challenge, was an opportunity for participating teams to discover physical activities inspired by parastronaut training and parasport disciplines. Each team had to use its imagination and team spirit to carry out one or more of the activities proposed specially for the challenge.
Based on the quality and creativity of their creations, their teamwork and their commitment to the theme of space and the constraints associated with disability, a jury of CNES experts selected their favorite team:
Exastronautes! CE1 students from Vivalys school in Ecublens.
The parastro-athletes follow close behind:
- “Astronautes du nouveau monde” CE2-CM1 students from l’École du nouveau monde in Saint-Médard d’Aunis;
- “La Forge sur la Lune” students from DITEP La Forge in Wintzenheim;
- “Les Paraléonautes” CM1-CM2 students from l’Ecole Léonard de Vinci in Laillé;
- “Les Hutins” Kindergarten class from l’Ecole des Hutins in Annemasse.

Well done to all the participants for their superb sporting achievements!
