Fête de la science | Winners of the Mission X online challenges

Nearly 800 primary school students took on the challenges of astronaut training. Everyone performed well, but as it was a competition, the jury did have to make some tough choices in selecting the winning teams.

From October 9 to 13, 2023, 46 teams of elementary school students from all over France took on the four Mission X online challenges offered as part of the Fête de la science 2023, whose theme was “Sports and Science.”

The selection process was very difficult for the jury members, who included engineers from CNES, a science teacher from Lycée Berthelot in Toulouse, and a science mediator from Instant Science. Given the clear enthusiasm and high quality of the entries, the jury decided to award prizes in two categories: photography and video.

Winners of the photo productions

The selected teams are:

  • Students between CE1 and CM2 at Mondavezan Elementary School in Haute-Garonne (31)
  • Students between CE1 au CM2 at Villevieille Elementary School in Gard (30)
  • Students in CM1 at Magnele B. de Mamoudzou Elementary School at Mayotte (97)

Winners of the video productions

The selected teams are:

  • Students in CM2 at Riscle Elementary School in Gers (32)
  • Students in CM1-CM2 at Catherine Fraischot de Gy Elementary School in Haute-Saône (70)
  • Students in CM1-CM2 at Albertarié de Graulhet Elementary School in Tarn (81)
