For many people, the world of space seems distant and inaccessible. To show them that space is accessible to everyone, ESERO France, as part of its mission to promote scientific culture to the mainstream public, has organized Space Adventure for the second consecutive year. The aim of this event is to introduce teens aged 8-17 from priority neighborhoods to the diverse world of space and give them the opportunity to experience it.

72 hours of astronomical immersion!
For this event, CNES, in partnership with the Planète Sciences association, welcomed 40 teens from Île-de-France living in priority neighborhoods to the Buthiers center (Seine-et-Marne) July 12-14, 2024. They got to spend some time totally immersed in the world of space.
Three days punctuated by numerous workshops ranging from the construction and launch of rockets (water or air powered) to the integration of satellites in a clean room, as well as an introduction to astronaut training. Then, in the evening, the teens gathered on the roof of the Jean-Marc Salomon observatory to observe the starry sky and learn how to use telescopes, astronomical binoculars, and regular binoculars.
Look into the future
The participants left this great space adventure with stars (and the moon) in their eyes! While Space Adventure is a social accessibility project for teens from priority neighborhoods, the ultimate goal of this event is also to guide them toward careers in technology, science, and engineering.

Space Adventure? A unique, truly immersive, and absolutely unforgettable experience!
As in the previous year, this edition of Space Adventure was a success, and we look forward to seeing you again next year!
