Understanding how the Earth’s climate works and how it is changing has never been more important. To help you prepare for your Climate Detectives project, CNES, through its ESERO France office, is organising a webinar during which teachers will be able to find out about the project’s structure, useful resources and events, and will have the opportunity to ask the ESERO France team their questions.

This webinar will take place online on Wednesday 30 September 2026 from 3.00 pm to 4.00 pm. Emails containing the link and login details will be sent to registered participants. The registration form is available below.

Climate Detectives Project

The European educational project Climate Detectives, organised by the European Space Agency and coordinated in France by CNES through its ESERO France office, offers students from nursery school to high school the opportunity to explore the causes and consequences of climate change by carrying out a research project or taking part in educational activities. Two categories are available to suit students’ levels as well as the needs of teachers.

For younger students, the Climate Detectives Kids project enables them to carry out one or more experiments from the wide range of activities available on the ESERO France website, helping them to discover the mechanisms behind climate change. For more advanced students, the Climate Detectives Advanced project offers the opportunity to complete a real scientific research project. Throughout the year, students will be able to choose a climate-related issue or one linked to local biodiversity, and will carry out research and experiments to understand the problem and propose appropriate solutions.
