The 2024 edition of the Festival d’astronomie de Fleurance (Gers) was a great success. Whether through astronomy conferences showcasing young researchers, the “Astro jeune” festival, the “Village des CHNOPS” or the observation evenings at the farm of the stars, astronomy was celebrated from August 3 to 9, 2024.
ESERO France joins the “Village des CHNOPS”
In 2024, for the first time, CNES had a stand at the “Village des CHNOPS.” It was an opportunity to present the various educational activities coordinated by the French space agency and, in particular, the different projects linked to ESA’s ESERO France program. Over the week, more than 500 people had the opportunity to discover the projects of CNES and ESERO through fun and inspiring workshops.
Young people, but also those who are not so young, had the opportunity to trying out space activities from the European Space Agency’s ESERO educational program: astronaut training, building lunar bases, studying satellite observations, and building small rockets. All participants showed great creativity and ingenuity in achieving these various challenges.
