To help you prepare your Astro Pi project as best as possible, CNES, through its ESERO France office, is organising a webinar to present the new resources and events taking place during the 2026/2027 school year. The ESERO France team will also be on hand to answer questions from teachers. In addition, Vivien Baert, a technology teacher who is taking part in the Astro Pi projects for the ninth year, will explain how you can easily incorporate the project into your curriculum.
This webinar will take place online on Wednesday 14 October 2026 from 3.00 pm to 4.00 pm. Emails containing the link and login details will be sent to registered participants. The registration form is available below.
Astro Pi project
The Astro Pi project offers young people the chance to discover the world of programming by writing computer code that will be run on Raspberry Pi computers on board the International Space Station (ISS). Mission Zero thus offers beginner teams the opportunity to write Python code that will display a drawing on the LED screen of the Astro Pi units on the ISS. More advanced teams can take part in the Mission Space Lab, during which they will need to determine the speed at which the ISS is orbiting the Earth using code that utilises the Raspberry Pi’s sensors.
